August is a self-produced student film. Created for an introductory filmmaking course at the California Institute of the Arts, I wanted to exceed the rubric expectations. To incorporate my love for costume design into this project, I designed characters loosely inspired by Old Western cowboy dress. This project challenged me to work with a minimal budget, combining wardrobes with my own and the actors’ to bring these characters to life.
